F 20 gas tank

I Googled pictures for an f20. Some pictures appeared to have a gas cap on the top of the tank. Others had a filler neck sticking out the back of the tank. I looked on ebay and that tank did not show the filler neck on the back of the tank. Are both correct? Would I be foolish to mount a filler neck into the back of the f12 tank that I have?
Opinions welcome here

All F-20 gas tanks had 2 fill holes, tank is divided off, with rear fill is a much smaller tank for starting gas, & the top fill is for the kerosene for running after tractor is warmed up. Kerosene was much cheaper than gas, back in the ol' days. If you see a F-20 tank with only fills on top, that is from a Farmall Regular, they had a seperate gas starting tank. If you need a F-20 tank, get back to me, probably got 10 of them here.

Furthermore, a F-12 tank will not work because the steering shaft will strike the top cap on the tank. F-20 tanks have the filler of the big tank off to the side to avoid the shaft.

Yes, I learned the difference in tanks the "Hard Way."

I have not decide yet if I am going to go to the LeSueur swap meet this next weekend. It is a long drive and if the weather is not going to improve any time soon, I will probably stay home.
thank you
I will write your name down I contact you if I do not go.

But, But But if I tighten the straps down really really tight the shaft will clear, Right? LOL
If I notch one side of the shaft? Never mind. It make me wonder what someone was thinking when they put all of this stuff together for this auction.
