My MD carb drain pet cock is leaking! Can I get a new one and where should I look? Was wondering if there was aftermarket one to be had? oldiron29

I don't know what carb an MD has, buy most drain petcocks have packing around it, tighten the nut a little, maybe it'll stop leaking.

Are you sure it isn't the float bowl itself leaking? They are crappy metal and get spider cracked and will seep fuel.

This an old style brass seats on brass. I have turned it till it stopped leaking but I can not turn it by hand. I would like to replace it so I can use it. oldiron29

Sorry...just saying mine decieved me for a bit. You seem like a genius...Figure it out. Why don't you go to Wal-Mart and buy one?

Dave_Id, these ones don't have packing or a nut around the stem. They are not a common petcock in any way.

Oldiron29, I have been looking for these drain valves too but haven't had any luck. They seem to be one of those parts that is often missing or sometimes damaged on the tractors I restore. I like my tractors to be original so cobbling together some hardware store fix isn't for me. If I run across them somewhere I will let you know.
