I have a chance to pickup a larger auger for my post hole digger. The receiver on mine is 2" and the auger is 2.5". I was wondering about making a bushing to expand my receiver to accommodate the auger. Looked at some steel suppliers on line and there is such a thing as steel tubing, 2.5" OD with .25" wall thickness. Seems like a short piece would do the trick. The auger size is within the specs of my digger otherwise. I am not REAL familiar with steel measurements and how precise they may be. Will this work or am I likely to run into trouble in some way? Any advice appreciated.
