Thanks for the response. That part is undamamed and everything inside looks fine and the clip is in place on the shaft. I think it's just a matter of lining it up perfectly into the collar, which I haven't figured out. Should the pto be engaged or free when I try to put the shifter back in? Also once I think I have it in the groove, should I immediately put the three screws on or try to slide it back and forth to see if it works? Any help is appreciated and thanks for your time.

Hi Scott, I can't really answer that as I have never had to replace a pin. But I would imagine it would be easier to line up in either the engaged or disengaged position as the PTO lever stop will fit in the hole in the transmission case and the lever would not be under tension.
