9 speed MW removal

Hello all

I am thinking of removing my M&W 9 speed, cable version, from a Farmall H. I'm going to sell the tractor and wonder if it is worth removing and selling seperate ? Is this a big job? Maybe it is not worth it ? What is the extra value installed in the tractor? What could I get out of the tractor and sell out right ? Thanks for our advice.. Brad

Brad, I think it would add as much or more value installed in the tractor (if it works) then removing it and trying to sell separate. There are straight H's everywhere but those 9 speed models are certainly very uncommon. I have a 1951 M and a 1952 H both with Heisler 9 speeds and that feature makes a very useable and desirable tractor with the extra speeds they provide. It will make a very versatile and useful tractor with the original appearance of a very classic tractor, Hal.

Thanks for your replys...It looks like it would be a big job to remove so it will stay in when I sell it. I have enjoyed the tractor over the years and now it's time to let someone else enjoy it..
