Why the smoke

Had cub stored over the winter in a heated garage, got it out this week-end,,for some reason it now has a lot of smoke when running, did not smoke when I stored last fall, any thoughts on why and what might be a cheap fix,,,Thanks

Put it to work at operating temp for a couple hours.

Humid conditions will cause condensation to form in and on metal surfaces. The rings may be sticking a little bit and not sealing efficiently enough. Run it a while and the problem will became a faint memory..

I agree with Glenn. Between the humidity differences, and the time it takes to get orgaized (internally) no issue yet. I assume it has oil pressure. Many cubs have difficulty getting pressure up after a period of idle time. There is an allen head plug near the oil filter that can be removed and 20W40 oil squirted in with a piece of small diameter plastic hose, and a pump oil can. If the pressure is up ignore my comment. It has good oil presure, was wondering if there might be an additive i could use..I will run as suggested and see what happens,,,Thanks
