Not difficult at all; either drain some of the transmission oil, put a 5 gallon bucket underneath, or put the front tires in a hole because the oil level is higher than the PTO opening.
Remove the capscrews attaching the unit and pull it out; may have to pry a bit.
You have to "steer" the driveshaft when re-assembling so a 2' piece of pipe over the splined shaft will help direct things back together.
