I would advise IH (now CNH) low ash oil, it is made for these engines specifically to address the spark plug fouling from ash deposits in the oil & gasoline, It was originally the same spec as LP engines oil, it would foul plugs in heavy work very easily. 460/560 was the main tractor in early 60s from IH in gas engines, the farmers at that time didn't like diesels, smell & hard start in winter + noisy. I worked at IH/CNH dealer for 47 years in Iowa. Wish I had a penny for every 5 gal of Hytran & engine oil I handled.

CIH Low Ash 30W for gasoline engines

CIH 30W for Diesel engines till 1985

CIH 15W40 for Diesel engines after 1985

I have a gas Farmall 656 row crop which was used as a cultivator tractor in Indiana for it's main earlier working life. It has always been IH dealership maintained from it's initial 1967 delivery and in looking through the service records the IH Low Ash oil was used. I also use 93 octane ethanol free premium gas in the tractor but it's main use now is in the hay fields as my main baler tractor and clipping pasture weeds with a rotary mower, Hal.

Had a 715 with the gasser and I used the IH low ash oil. Thinking the 6 cyl gas tractors want the same.

Yes, IH low ash oil is a must. There is an old IH video about their different oils on YouTube.
