39 M Belly pump

I just bought a 39 M without a belly pump. I think I would like to put one back in. My hopes got dashed after removing the pump from a parts H and now realize a 2 inch differance to match the casting. How hard is it to find a pump, and what should I expect to pay for one?

Where are you? I have one sitting in a parts M that I used to run a front loader - I know it works like it should. I won't ever use it as the M I have with a loader now has both a belly pump and live power.

The belly pumps will not interchange between an H and an M, but then you already know that.

You should not need to pay any more for a GOOD belly pump than what one would be worth as scrap iron. The belly pumps rarely wear out, so there is very little demand for parts.

Just a thought, If you know any pullers that run M"s, Check with them. Most of them around here remove the belly pumps in order to run 4500 lb.

i have a belly pump i just took out of my M because i do not need they hydralics for pulling. check your local tractor salvage yards for a pump!

Used belly pumps are not hard to find at all. Some are higher pressure than others. Scrap price will not buy a functional one too many places. $50-100 would be more like it. If you can find one with a dipstick included, it's a bonus. CIH gets $50+ just for a new "oil gauge". Do remove the drive coupler and install a new seal.

I live in North Texas. I tried to contact a scrap yard near me,,, they did not have one. So today I'll get going on locating one. Thanks for the info.
