farmall m pto

No idea but it is very easily removed for inspection
 
What do you mean by wont stay engaged? If it stoppong when you push the clutch in, its suppose to do that. Been awhile since I opened one up, but I think theres a detent ball to keep it engaged that will wear out.
 
Assuming it jumps out of gear when loaded, there is a simple dog clutch in the unit that is likely to have wear on the faces that engage. They can be reshaped to hold together under load. Checking the detent ball and spring is also good to do as the weight of the pull rod is toward disengage. Park it going down hill (front 18 inches lower than rear), and oil will stay in the finals.
