cub seat is frozen/rusted and there is no movement up and down. does anyone have a quick fix? i have applied lube/penetrant and have use a hammer on it.

Pull the two bolts from the stop/alignment key on the back of the post. Pry the key out, and with plenty of your favorite penetrant, start twisting the seat pan back and forth while pulling up. After it comes out, clean it up and reinstall with some anitsieze or grease.

Heat, as in oxy/acetylene torch, and maybe a lot of it. That could be a tough one to free up if it's really rusty. If you can ever get it to move back & forth just a little, and keep working back & forth(or up & down!) it should eventually free up. Add oil as you get it moving. The initial heat should help with the rust between moving parts. That has been my experience anyway.
