Does anyone know where a guy can get new wirring harnesses for these tractors other than going through a dearlership?

Try Porch Electric at 815-368-3230 (IL). They make them using INDUSTRIAL grade materials.

When I replaced all wiring on a 856 I rebuilt last year. I priced the harness at several places and found my IH dealer had the best price , and a genuine part to boot.
