I pulled the top off my 350 U a few weeks ago to check the strainer. Cleaned the surfaces real good and used a real thin layer of permatex gasket maker on it.A lot of times someone will use way to much silicone in place of a gasket it doesn't take that much. Someone had removed the screen inside the sump and install a inline strainer in the line going to the pump. Checked it today nothing in it. Now if I can just get the leaks stopped on the power steering.
