Someone has replaced the rear hubs on your Super M-TA with ones off a 400.
The correct hub for a Super M-TA only has 6 large holes, 6 lugs, and a drop center rim. Yours has 8 holes, 8 lugs, and a double-bevel rim. Combined with the A casting code indicates that they belong on a 1955 Farmall 400.
I have never seen hubs with the wheel weights "twisted" like that. Very strange. Are they both like that? |

| Yes...they are both like that. And the casting numbers are both the same as well. Thank you all for the information...it helps me out greatly. I"ve never noticed it before on other 400"s. Learn something new everyday. Anybody know of anyone that has SMTA hubs for sale around the southeastern MN Northern IA southwestern WI area??? Another question...like with Olivers...they have build paperwork that can be tracked, is there any such thing like like with Farmalls?? So these papers would tell you what parts are on this serial number. Thanks again. |
