Installing primary pump on MD injection pump

I got a rebuilt primary pump with 2 new gaskets for my md as it was diluting fuel into injection pump.
Installed new pump, started tractor up, everything looks and sounds good. Ran tractor about 15 minutes, shut down, checked oil level in injection pump and got a quart of diesel out of it. Not good.
The outer gasket which came with the pump is a felt type material and seems quite thick and doesn't seem to allow the pump to tighten far enough to seal the inner gasket, thus allowing fuel to be dumped into the injection pump. What did I do wrong? Any answers welcome, as always. S

First do you have the A or B model pump. there are a few other places that can give you fuel in the oil. I run a small injection pump shop and have done my share of these pumps. I never charge a dime for helping a guy out over the phone. Give me a call and I can explain what to look for. 231/757/0064

Thanks for reply. It's an A pump. Got a rebuilt primary pump from Central Fuel which as far as i know do good work. Fuel was dumped into the injection pump, but it may have been due to a faulty installation on my part. I took pump off, looked thngs over, made sure inside gasket was aligned properly, and put back on. Will fire it up today and see what happens.

Fuel can also be coming from internal leaks (worn distributor valves, etc.). Is the scavenging pump and valve working, and is the line from it to the tank clear? If not the leakage fuel will fill up the pump too.
