#37 IH disc bearing conversion?

I have a 14' #37 disc and all the bearings are shot. The bearing halves and spools can be purchased from Agrisupply.com but the spools have 1" square holes and my disc has 1-1/8" square shaft. Other than getting new sealed type bearings, what other parts do I need for the conversion. I think buying these aftermarket "spool" type bearing are going to be some messin around if the shaft size isn't right. I think I'm better off converting it. Your thoughts and helps are very appreciated. Thanks

Where are you located? Any Case/IH dealers close by? Shoups in Kankakee, Il should have bearings for IH discs with 1-1/8 square shaft. Their Ph. number is 1-800-627-6137. Armand

You must have a very early 37 with the cast white iron bearings. You would have to change the gang hangers and spacer spools for each bearing. Time all that was done,at todays prices,I"d think you could find a later 37 or 370 disk, maybe even for less money.I"d even wonder if one could buy those gang hangers any more, maybe "The Depot" would have them.
