Brass tacks were emblems of some type used on the tractor as a demo, in other words advertising.

There is a guy in our IHCC chapter who has one all done up but i dont have any pictures of it. i might be able to try and get one though

A 'brass tack' 450 was a demo tractor that dealers had. they werent painted a special color, but had a sign board afixed to the top of the hood and stenciling all over it pointing out the various features of the tractor
