Seal is located in the bull pinion bearing retainer on disc brake tractors. That plate is also what the inside brake disc contacts. Remove brake linkage adjusting bolt,return springs, 5 brake housing bolts, housing and brake discs from the shaft. On the plate the inside disc contacted look for a parting line on the od. Close look with dirt or paint removal should find you some notches to pry the plate out. Doesn't come easy most times and needs to stay pretty even comming out. If you don't have a suitable slide hammer the simplest way for me to remove the plate is to weld up a slide rod with something heavy to slide on a 5/8 fine thread bolt. Screw the bolt in the threaded hole in the end of bull pinion shaft. Hammer the plate out. Slide the bull pinion back in or inspect it and the bearing before installing. Knock the seal out of the plate, put a new one in and replace the oring on the plate if needed. [Reply]   [No Email]
