I have a major oil leak in my right brake pinion shaft, Upon removing all the parts to get to the oil seal, I noticed a little seepage around the brake pedal shaft seals. Decided to fix those too. As soon as I pulled the pedal shaft out, oil started seeping out. Then I removed the the plug that checks the oil level and it started oozing oil out too. I then put a 5 gal. bucket under both outlets and so far it's about 3/4 full. Anyone else ever experience this? I do realize that water displacement is the cause of all this. I also think that the excessive amount of fluid may be the cause of the oil leaks. If not all of them, maybe some.
I also have a leak around the belly pump area. Looks like toward the rear which makes me suspect the tranny oil seal maybe leaking. Not sure if the excessive amount of fluid is causing this or the seal needs replacing. If I do have to replace the seal (of which I have no clue as how to) will I have to drain the tranny before getting to the seal? What say ye?
Everything else in the rear area is super dry and tight. I'm planing on doing a good drain flush with some diesel later on.
TIA
