39 or 47 H on Craigslist?

I saw this on Craigslist in Central Texas. Unless serial number is cut off in the picture, I think it's a '39
47 H, or 39?

There is room for the number to have been cut off. If you look the d in speed is missing. Also the top deck is not the 39 type.

I would guess its a 40 model. Not late as 47 with the starter switch location and the tall oil filter housing.

As Dave and Zach said, it can't be a 47 because the serial on a 47 has 6 digits beginning with 2, and the starter switch was on the steering post in 47, 47 had a short filter. Not a 39 because of the seat. Likely one one digit cut off in the picture making it a late 40.

If you have your heart set on a 39 there is a young fellow here in Western, Pa that ahs been trying to sell a fixer upper for $500.
