Super A demonstrator

Hello to everyone, I'm new to the forum and will be restoring my 1950 Super A. I have the engine completely tore down and found white paint along the way. Checked the serial number and its in the range for the demos. So a paint job will be in order after its up and running. I did get a rear mounted sickle mower with the tractor and have located a set of plows a few hours away and a buzz saw. Im a member of the local tractor club so would like to show it but I will be using it around our homestead to mow and plow the garden (Lord willing I get the plows and all the hardware is there). I'm sure I will have a ton of questions and look forward to all the input and help.

woodby, will you be painting it red or white?
Take lots of picture as you go so you can prove it was a demo. If it has OK paint it would be best to leave it as is. Original is something you can only get once!!! oldiron29

If u have white paint showing then I would paint it back
white...if ur gonna show the tractor make sure u take pics to
show that u acutally found white paint under the red

like oldiron29 said take pictures of the white paint

uncle henry,
Is your pic at the Canton, TX tractor show? We were in Texas from Washington a couple years ago and attended the show and that sure looks like the facility and I think I remember the tractor.
It was a great show and we camped on site

Uncle Henry, is the white demo sign on your tractor an original or a copy? I also have a white demo Super A (on the list to be restored, it's in pretty tough shape right now) and I would like to put the sign and the stars back on it.

thanks,
Al

I"m going to go with white. Great idea on the pics for authentication. Anybody have any ideas on the possible model number for the rear mounted sickle mower?

robably a half dozen ideas. But I picture would eliminate a bunch of guessing.

Ok I will try to get a pic on here. Its off the tractor at the
moment, no fun getting it off by the way
