Your coil is oil filled, my is epoxy, but both are the 3ohm coil that doesnt need the resistor. Thats the right number for ignitor. It is possible that you have a dead module, it can happen. 12.4V @ the coil while is cranking is good. I just went measured the ignitor on the SW6, it reads open between the red & black wires. Im assuming its a Hall effect type ign system. Doesnt do anything till the distributor is turning, the battery is out so I cant try it. I do have a read from the base of the ignitor to the groud/black wire. Pertronix will be able to help you out. 6V & points went out of style with the ark. The day of 12V's to coming to an end, since there is so much load on electrical system. 36v or 42v is the next step.

It's running. It did have white tape over the face of the igniter. They should put something in the instructions about removing it as it looks like it is supposed to be there. Seems to run real smooth. Thanks for the help.

Just went out and checked and I think I have the tape problem. The face of the igniter is white-looks like tape. Re read the instructions and there is no mention of removing tape for the installation though. I'll take another look at it after I get home from work. Maybe it just needs to be removed. May try to call Pertronix over lunch.

Found this info. Sounds like the distributor needs to be turned to get it to fire.
