Last time I dropped the f axle on my 100, I forgot that fact. I had the axle grabbed by one hand, between the axle tube and the tie rods. Is was lucky when it dropped so quickly it didn't break my hand across the tie rods [Reply]  [No Email]

I had to remove it myself at the salvage yard. The front end of the tractor was raised up a bit with a high lift jack then dropped down on a secure pile of timbers behind the plate. After disconnecting the drag link, the plate was unbolted, dropped off the tractor, and the whole front end dragged out from under the tractor. It worked quite well. The front end was disassembled after I got it home for cleaning repairs etc. Hop[e this helps. [Reply]  [No Email]

Main thing is to be sure you have the axle and the tractor supported. BUT, I completely disassembled my Super A, and I remember I took the plate off with the axle; then I had one heck of a time getting the pin out. I gave up and went to a machine shop that had a press.
