Hello worked at getting the new to me B out of the barn today, tractor is pretty rough but I didn't have a B yet. Looks like the front bolster has been broken in half and welded back together again. Is there any other bolster that interchanges? I am thinking not but thought that I would ask anyhow, was not sure if the A casting might be the same with different guts in it. Has a H narrow front bolted on with two bolts, will a C narrow front bolt on correctly or are they different bolt pattern? Think I will try to haul it home tomorrow, thanks, Mike

The C bolster will bolt right on. The only difference I have seen is the year model may have loop style wheels on the front or the older ones have clamp on front wheels.I have a clamp on style out of a B in great shape already painted but I'm in Va.It can be shipped if you want.

So if you put the C bolster on how do you hook up the steering when the C input shaft is on the left and the B steering shaft is on the right. The clamp=style has nothing to do with age as they were for non adjustable fronts where the loops are made for adjustment width. Now why did they put loop style on wide fronts like they did on the As. Never could figure that one out.

Depending on where your at I think I still have a front end off a B that is left over from building my BA

The B up through the C series and the 200 through 240 even to the 404 all use the same front pedistal. The front bolster for the B was unique to the B and BN.

Someone else can hopefully confirm, but I believe the C narrow will bolt right onto the B/BN steering Box. The A steering box and front end will bolt right on, just need the A steering shaft as well.

Depending on where your at I still have a lot of parts for a B around. A couple years ago I built a BA which is half B half A and the reason it is a BA is because the front is B and the back A. I used parts from 2 Bs and on A so still have a lot of stuff laying aorund
