Pete - on the orifice up/down trick, I finally understand. My problem was with the nomenclature. You said you start with a bolt which, to me, is a cylinder with a curved side and flat ends. I drink my beer from the end of a can, not the side. Now, when you make the cylinder shorter and shorter, eventually you end up with a disc, where the ends of the original cylinder are now the sides of the disc that you were referring to. Got it now - sorry for being slow on the uptake. Neat trick, which I'll remember. Thanks.
