706 jumps out of reverse

Yea , i can tell ya it is more then JUST a bushing . Lets start with the shift linkage at the shifter and work our way on down with the headed pins then the top cover on the range transmission then the can and shifter arm then lets move on down to the rev. shifter and maybe the rev shifter fork. Then once you have all that done then we move onto the clutch transmission brake and dump valve adjustment . Now it will shift like it is suppose to

Don"t let what the Vet is telling you scare you. Everything he is telling you is true but if you start at the top and work your way through them it isn"t that difficult. You just need to buy the tractor priced accordingly because some of those linkages and shifter parts have gotten really spendy. Take the cowl around and on top of the dash off and take the platform cover between the fenders off and you can pretty much do everything.

You need to know the condition of the reverse shift collar and gear. If that gear is not flopping back and forth or the teeth all rounded off it will be a matter of repairing the linkages, maybe even a different cover with bushings installed in it . The gear is easy to look at by taking front wheel drive plate off left side.
