there is a fast hitch for a regular cub in the photo ads, my '49 cub has all the original hitch and hydraulics on it,[ when i take the belly mower off and put the drawbar back on it , so what does a fast hitch allow the tractor to do that the factory one doesnt??

Putting the Fast Hitch on your tractor will allow you to purchase and collect a lot of expensive, difficult to find, specialized attachments that don't fit your tractor now. And all of your old equipment will no longer fit. I happen to have bought an International Low Boy with the fast hitch and got with it several pieces of equipment which are really easy and fast to snap on and go. But buying additional pieces are next to impossible. I've had to build them all myself.

and one vary important thing that most don't realize it lets the hitch get get down to ground level to hook up to anything heavy on the toung and hook up and LIFT with out killing your back or looking for a jack. Myself i love the fast hitch over three point . Each spring that fast hitch comes in handy as everything that has been setting out has sunk into the ground and either ya go looking for the hyd. jack and blocking or you go get the 806 and just hook up and lift it and then place the blocks under the tong.

sounds like i'll be keeping the original hitch lol i have made several things for it and i also got a factory c-2, the rear 1 bottom plow and the front snow/grader blade,

The fast hitch is quite nice compared to hitching up normal implements. The fast hitch equipment isn't that hard to find as I have peices to fit the Standard Cub and Cub LoBoy Fast Hitch. Most, if not all, front or belly mounted implements will work with a fast hitch tractor allowing you to hook the implement up without removing the hitch.

The Fast Hitch on the Cub interferes with most belly mower mounts. These tend to clamp on to the standard drawbar.

There are special mounts for use with fast hitch but they are hard to find used. New ones can be purchased from Woods mower dealers but they are very expensive.

Exceptions include the Cub-22 sickle mower, which still fits fine, and the Danco C3 mower which mounts on the PTO housing instead of the standard drawbar.
