help find grand dads tractor

hello im brent wortham from ky. i am looking for my great grand dads farmall B which then was my uncles and later my grand dads. last count i had it was setting at the john deere dealer in hartford ky the dealer was called westerfields. it was then sold to a man in ohio who was going to use it around tractor pulls. if anyone has any info it would be great thanks, brent

Rather than put effort into finding a tractor that got used as a puller (usually fatal) I recommend finding a nice B and making it a part of the family. Anoint it with family happiness and go forward. Jim

Don't know if the timeframe fits, but back about the mid-90's, there was a Farmall B at Westerfields with a full set of cultivators on it. When I saw it, they said the tractor was sold, but I was able to buy the cultivators off of it. Never met the owner, only dealth with the Westerfields but got the impression the buyer was local maybe. Are you sure the buyer was from Ohio and not Ohio County, Ky?? Of course, Westerfields is located in Ohio Co, Ky. Can't help any, but hope you track it down.

Hi Jim, nice suggestion.I have over the past five years purchased a TEA20 and a Pony, both of these my grandfather had purchased back in the 50"s.So when displaying these tractors.i tell people that my grandfather had owned tractors similar to these and they were worked hard. cheers, Murray

Yes I"m from beaver dam. The Tractor was NOT used for pulling. It was used to cultivator 30 acres tobacco. Tobacco man do u still have the cultivators?

tobacco man talked to my dad and got more info on this story. my dad drove a truck for westerfields back then. he said the only B westerfields had was my grand dads old tractor with cultivators on it. so chances are you have got my grand dads old cultivators. still got them? if so let me kmow if u want to sell them. from what my dad knows he said it went to ohio to be used around tractor pulls.

Yep, still have the cultivators. Finally bought a B to mount them on, but haven't yet. I don't really want to sell them, but if you find the tractor, I might do a deal. But I would need you to find me a complete replacement set to trade me for your grandad's set.

Thanks for your help I seen some in Ohio. I will send them
emails. Have no clue on the serial number no one in my
family wrote it down. Thanks

Yes, a complete set of B cultivators seems to be pretty hard to come up with. But if you find the tractor, I'll try my best to help you out. Good luck with your search and post a new message later on to let us know how you are progressing. I always try and read this forum daily.
