i have two F 12 's and both fuel shut off valves under the tank
leak. I have taken them apart and tried to sand the worn ring
round, but they still have a small leak. Any ideas how to fix
this?

Craig, Most likly it is the seat side of the valve. I have replace valve stems from Rice Equipment. I was told to take a drill bit and clean up the seat by spinning the bit by hand, Have had no luck with that.Must by something to recut the seat, I just have not found it yet. oldiron29

Remove the stem/nut assembly and pack the nut with graphite string packing or teflon tape twisted into a rope. This won't help the shut-off problem, but it will stop the gas from dripping on the drive shaft cover.
