farmall C change over from 6 to 12 volt

a well-none altorater re-build place re-did the 6 volt starter, then bought a 12 volt alternator from him. said ground will go to fram, and switch wire around on amp meter. is there more to do, and will the light switch work the same? thanks.

Pretty much it ground has to be - or you will smoke test the alternator. Also if battery ignition switch the wires on the coil or the spark will spark backwards.
