My wifes uncle called tonight and told me about a W-450 in NH. We looked it up on tractor house and there is 1 selling for $25,000 completly restored. Is this tractor that rare, is it worth that kind of money? any help would be appreciated. ~Anthony

It isn't SELLING for $25,000 it is listed for $25,000. It has been on there for half a year and I bet they never even had a phone call on it. He has a bunch of standards on there all listed at $25k.

Well, it is too sloppy to be Wardner's. Is it worth $2750. Probably not, but on the other hand it is a W-450. Not to mention you are in an expensive market. If you want to make it a Correct Police restoration it is going take A LOT of time looking for all the correct tin, seat, etc. Add that to the fact that you are out east and you will never find them easily. It is all going to be mail order, big dollar parts.

Not worth $25000 unless you gold plate the hood. You're definitely not going to take that $2750 tractor, slap some paint on, and make a mint.

At $2750, in the Northeast, that's not too bad for that tractor. I'm not sure what all tin sflem thinks it needs. It does need some body work, but far as I can see it's all there under the backhoe and loader.

The backhoe and loader are worth something, at the very least as scrap.

for collectability they are worth more than any other tractor and the best investment. the w-400 and w-450 are low production tractors.

If you are looking for one to restore I'd say for that condition it's over priced. If you need something to do a little digging with, and it runs and digs it might be an OK price.

As others have said, if everything works, and it has not had the snot beat out of it, make a $2500 offer.

It is amazing what a fist full of dead presidents will do to a seller..........

Its like anything else. Its what some one is willing to pay for it when they make a deal.

I wish that it was closer to me (I'm in MD) The backhoe looks factory and the loader does look pretty stout. I want to move some dirt around my place and the $2750 would be in my price range.
