7.3 Powerstroke

Maybe you IH folks can help me out. 2002 F350sd
145K miles.went thru 2-1/2 gal anti freeze in 4 weeks. No wet spots in drive, oil is clean and at proper level,no smoke, starts and runs fine. Could this be head gasket? Where is the anti-freeze goin? This has got me baffled. Thanks for any help. Mike.

I have seen pin hole leaks in hoses Pee coolant into the frame in a way that never showed when parked but blew out when driving. Pressure tes ti and look while it is running. Truly best of luck that it is external. Jim

check the radiator seams , water pump, and all the hoses, if you find no leaks and no bubbles in radiator like a head gasket failing, it could be an injector cup that has eroded through, butI think you usually find fuel in the coolant with that, somebody with more knowledge than me will probably chime in soon.

My guess would be an injector pre-cup.

I did a some research when one went on mine and was leaking fuel into the cooling system.

Looking back and thinking about it, I think that it might have been just burning the what little was leaking when I was using it. I caught a wiff of anti-freeze smell every once in a while and wasn"t sure what was wrong cause I didn"t see anything leaking anywhere.
My only regret right at this moment is that I didn't replace all 8 while it was apart. But I didn't have the extra cash then (not that I have it now either!).

Thank you for all the great suggestions! I will post back and let you all know what we find. All of these discussion forums on YT have the BEST people. Thanks, Mike.
