I dont think that heisler made an after market starter for a F-30, but does anyone know of a way to rig one up? Ive had two shoulder surgeries and now I am looking at a shoulder replacement and dont know if I can crank the big boy over anymore. Thanks for any help, Mark.

I have seen both an F12 and an F20 with a flex plate off a V8 engine bolted to the coupler between the clutch and tranny and a bracket made to hold the starter. That is one option you can consider.

if you get ahold of Dwayne at Rusticedacres he may be able to help you out, he knows the guys that were making the ones for Harry Lee, but they ain't cheap ! Don't know for sure if they are making any more or not, but thats the only ones I know of.

I have seen an F-20 with a flywheel bolted to the PTO, with a starter and battery set on a plate on the draw bar.

Have seen one inside the back of the belt pulley with the starter under the frame.

I don't know who made it but 1955 Central Tractor Parts Co lists a starter assembly for F30. Part # CT1331 $44.50. Kit has starter, flywheel, bolts and bracket to hold starter that bolts to frame. 40 to 50 minutes to install.

back in 2008 at the Indiana plow day there was a guy with this setup and i was talking with him about it. at that time it was 1000 bux and you had to send him your bellhousing and flywheel

If you have another tractor with a belt pulley you can use that tractor to start the F-30 using a flat belt. You'll need another tractor driver too. Hal
