As stated before, remove lifters and oil pump, then try to pull out from the gear end. If you try to pry on the gear you will break the gear and/or camshaft (ask me how I know). If push comes to shove, on the back side of the cam is a plug, like a freeze plug, it can be removed and the cam can be tapped out from the rear. I had a C113, that had sat for a loooong time and everything was seized. Be patient and good luck with it.

You cant get the lifters out until the cam is removed. But you do need to remove the oil pump.

Thanks guys, and this motor has also been sitting for a long time so everything is pretty sticky i have everything gutted from the block except the camshaft so i think ill try the suggestion of removing the plug from the other end and tapping it out, Thanks for the help!
