just bought a IH 560 diesal. have some questions on

hey just bought my first tractor. and i was wondering what all i would need to do to put power steering on it.

Also i have a vavle problem and im not sure even what maker the loader/valve is. i can tell it was repainted green from red. and all the hoses come up from the bottom. Please Help!!!!!!

first of all why do you need power steering on it? they are very easy steering tractor but it can be done.
lost on your second problem.

A 560 should already have power steering.Either you got a (rare) delete,or it needs work!Since you seem to know so little about it,you need to buy the book(s) ASAP.Adding PS would be prohibitively expencive.

I have two 560 that don't have power steering. 1 is loader tractor, it sure would be nice to have it. But in Western Cdn, these old tractors have disappeared. No wreckers have anything this old. So I have to live with manual steering.

That tractor should have powersteering from the factory. There are some little screens on the side that get plugged over time, and once they do get plugged then there is no powersteering. All that's needed is to clean the screens and then powersteering should come back. A friend of mine had that happen on his 560 gas tractor once.

Tackle one problem at a time.

I would recommend that you resolve the "valve problem" first. You can't move the tractor if you can't lift the loader. At least you can drive the tractor if the power steering isn't working.

Can you please explain more about this "valve problem?" There are many possible problems and it does us no good to guess at what yours is.

In the meantime, since this is your first tractor, concentrate on learning everything you can about it. Get a reprint owner's manual and read it. I know the temptation is to run right out and "play" but you can make things worse than they already are, or hurt yourself or someone else.

This is the style vauvles i think i need?

well they all leak off the back side and the grapple
one is broke. where the bolt that secures it to the
valve bank screws in. it is stripped out. so i
figured just replace the whole assembely

Oh, well that's no big deal,.

You don't need same-same. Any open center valve will work in place of it. May need to rework the mounting bracket a little, but just transfer the hoses and you'll be fine.

If the leaks are orings those are standard and easily replaced.
