Either Bob M or Jim or someone have posted pictures of BOTH wiring diagrams and an actual real picture of the back of that LHBD switch, can you please repost or better e mail me those?? Ive been asked to give a brief workshop on Cub charging systems here at Florida Flywheelers in February and that picture would be helpful.

These were gleaned from the YT forum. on the diagram it appears that the switch resistor is series connected all the time, it is not. The wire connection end is connected to a high beam contact (see photo) to shunt the resistor out of the circuit for high beam. Jim

Also,on the resistor on the field circuit, the circuit through the resistor is correctly illustrated as being on low charge. When on high charge or with lights on dim or bright the field circuit is directly to ground as you can see on the actual picture of switch.

I am pretty sure I posted some pics, but dang if I can find the post I made.
I think BobM was going to use one on his wiring page, but I am not sure.
Will try and find them on one of my computers at home.

Both the early and later diagrams that cover the majority of Cubs are on the ATIS Cub FAQ, page 2. Both diagrams are correct as drawn regarding lug positions and which wire goes where. As drawn, it is not obvious that the field wire lug is connected to a switch contact. With the diagram and switch in hand, correct connections should be obvious.

Oh --- I forgot to mention that the switch is LHDB, not as you posted! Low charge, High charge, Dim, bright. One would be remiss putting dim where bright should be!!!! Jim

Hey John - I cannot do better that what the others have already posted!!

Enjoy your stay in FL - we're freezing our collective @sses off here in Western NY(!)
