460 Hi Utility rear rim questions

Does anyone have a 460 Hi Utility that can look at the rear rims and see if it has a double bevel 38 in style or some other unique thing? On the rim there is 4 or 5 notches in the rim itself that act as the drive lug with just a bevel to center itself on the opposite side of the rim? The reason I am asking is that a friend is working on one of them and is need of some rims. We have absolutely no idea where to even begin looking for these style of rims. Thanks Brad

The double bevel rims first appeared on the late 350 and 450 and were continued at least through the 560, possibly later than that. They are interchangeable between these tractors and they differ only in width, depending on the desired tire width. They can be found in salvage, someone on this forum may have them for sale, new aftermarket ones are still available. Nothing special about them on the 460 HU, unless someone modified them or found some different ones the previous owner installed.

This is a picture of one of the spots on the rim. There is something like 4 or 5 of these and that is what drives the rim from the cast center.

I can possibly get some more pics tomorrow. The casting number on the center is 364698R2 I believe and we are wondering if we can just use the row crop double bevel wheels in place of the ones we have.

Thats what the rims looked like on the early IH double bevel tractors. Started not long after 300 and 400 tractors started production. Think they went to different type humps to keep the rims from slipping on the wheels by 460 tractors though.
Yes the farmall 38 inch double bevel rims work on the cast wheels you have. Some other tractor brands used the rims also.
IH offered 10, 11, 12 and 14 inch wide for your tractor.
