injector pumps

Hi Ralph, I believe early B275's had an inline injection pump like B250 and later ones had CAV rotary pumps the same as B414D, 434, 444 and 384.
Also I don't know if the fuel setting has to be changed for a CAV pump between B275 and B414 or if the fuel delivery is controlled by the injector tips. The B275 is a BD144, 144 Cu inch engine and B414D is a BD154 154 Cu inch engine, so if fuel is controlled by pump then without re-calibration the B275 will smoke a lot.
Maybe MJ in UK or some other CAV pump expert will offer an opinion.

Assuming they both use the CAV DPA rotary pump they will be interchangeable but to run correctly will need recalibration and governor control (internal in pump) changing.
