Animal 01-12-2013 14:44:13 76.0.45.68 Report to Moderator	When this tractor is cold its a bear to start. I have to use my hand to choke it, regular choking does not get it done. After it starts and warms a little it starts well. No intake leaks fuel and fire are real good. I am leaning toward a tight valve or two. I have never been around a farmall that started this hard.. That thing will let enough air in to not choke properly with a cold slow turning engine.   [Reply]  [No Email]

A caeful look inside might show the issue. The screws have been known to unscrew. There might be a spring loaded valve in the plate as well which needs to be held against its hole. Also, make sure that your engine oil and the oil in your oil bath filter is appropriate for the temp in your area. Good luck.   [Reply]  [No Email]
