We have 3588 with ac troubles. When the low pressure gauge gets to about 70 and high pressure to 50 it just runs until the high gets to 100 then the compressor shuts off. Then it wont kick on for a while. I have no juice at the yellow wire at the relay cut out. If i jump juice to that wire the compressor runs. Should their be juice their?
Thanks

What does the low side pressure read once the compressor starts?

There is a low pressure switch in the cab on the return hose from the evaporator and a high pressure switch near the condenser in front of the radiator. The low pressure switch should close at 6 +/- 2 psi. The high side switch should close at 375 +/- 10 psi. Both switches must remain open for there to be "juice" at the compressor clutch.

Pete, Thanks or catching the errors .

Both switch's must remain open to operate. When they
close they operate the lockout relay , turn on red
light and cut power to compressor until power to
them is shut off so lockout relay can return to
power on to clutch.

Another thing to check is how much freon you have in the system. check to see if there are bubbles in the sight glass when the compressor is running, if there is you need freon.
