My 221 in the 606 is plain wore out, the head gasket went and after further inspection,it needs pistons and sleeves. I have a 706 that the reverse gear and park went out in.instead of rebuilding the 221 i want to put the 263 in the 606,whitch has a loader on it i need to use.i,am guessing i need to change the flywheel and clutch? The front cover, everything else should be the same right, same blocks ? they look almost like a nice easy swap, but looking for my info. just in case. the 606 is just my loader tractor for snow and moving round bales,it has the forward and reverse gear shuttle,so thats why i like it.. thanks steve |

| To the best of my knowledge, the base block is the same outside dimensions for the 221 and 263.
You will basically need to strip everything off the 221 block and put it on the 263 block. The 606 doesn't have a frame like the 706 so all the mounting is likely to be different. |
