Two possibilities. If the fill tube is attached to the three point hitch top link bracket it is an after market part to make it easier to add oil, especially on tractors with cabs. The other possibility is that it has a hitch cover from an 86 series tractor. In that case there should also be a small hole for the dipstick tube. Both of these would be in the hitch cover and not the upper link attaching plate.

It's a bigger tube then a dipstick tube, I would say around a two or two and a half inch tube. It doesn't have threads at all. Where would I find a cap for an aftermarket add on?

Check someplace that carries truck parts. Sounds like it originally had a rubber plug similar to the one on the engine dipstick.

Is ther a petcock valve on the housing to the left or right of the tube where it goes to housing?
