td-6 wiring

Ain't much wiring to them. One blue 10 gauge wire to the armature one 14 ga. yellow to the field one 14ga. black to the mag or coil and it it has headlights pick a color in 14. ga. Yellow wire goes to the field side of the reg. blue goes to gen. side of reg black wire goes to the ing. switch from the reg to the amp meter a 10 ga. in red from amp meter to starter a 10 ga. in red off the hot side of the amp meter is where you pull power for the ing. system if it has a battery ing and the lights.

Use the diagram for an M If it is a new series TD6 you will need to deal with 12v, but the wireing is the same. If mag, use the mag info. Do not connect any voltage to a Mag. Jim

As far as original with a generator, they were all positive ground. Pos to Pos etc. If changed to negative ground that is OK as well as long as it has a generator, and is polarized before starting it. The battery terminals should be big and small, as a result the battery should be correctly installed that way. If jumping always Pos to Pos Neg to Neg. No exceptions. Jim
