Finally done with 3pt forklift conversion (PICS)

I've has this old mast around in the way for a few years, so I figured it was time to put it to use. I made a 3pt hookup, using about half of the original hardware, and half fabricated. The main cylinder is single action, and the tilt cylinders are double. The heigth as pictured is totaly on the tractors own oil system with no add on tank, (and it was low at the time). Mrs. Biggerred had some fun with it as well. (dont flame me, that's as high as she went) I bought this while it was still on the original forklift, and full of oil that was nice and clean. Now to finish the front weight bracket.

I like it.

In addition to the front weight bracket, probably wouldn't hurt to add as much ballast to the REAR wheels as possible.

Pretty neat. The color is almost IH white as well! I wish I had a forklift sometimes. I guess I'll just stick with a front end loader...

I've got a front loader on my 300, but it's the trip loader type, so the tilting feature on this get up is welcomed.

At an auction back in the woods about 15 miles from here I saw an IH 300 that had been reversed and made into a forklift. It had a cast piece that ran all the way under the belly of the tractor and had a weight on the front end that according to my recollection must have been about an 18" cube. It was a really nice setup.

Boy, my wife would have never gotten on to those forks, But she would have asked, "How high is this going to go?", my ornery reply would have been, "Don't know, but you'll find out, hang on, hope it comes back down"

I take it that you or her haven't heard of fall protection that is required when some one is over 6 feet above the ground? Good job on the lift! Be careful too!!

(quoted from post at 05:33:56 01/07/13) Thankfully, she wasn't over 6' above ground.

Looks like you could look her sneakers in the eye in the picture.

Sweet job, it will serve you well.
