Can anyone tell me where I can get a complete power steering for a Farmall M. Also what it would cost.
Thanks

(quoted from post at 15:51:26 01/06/13) Thats alittle high priced. That is a more than I paid for the entire tractor

Rest assured, a complete power steering set-up in ready to use condition WILL cost as much or more than what you paid for your tractor.

Well, if you want one now, you gotta pay for it. That's a fair price for what you get. Just a new motor alone is around $600.

The beauty of that setup is you've got all the parts right there in a nice neat package, ready to install.

If you're willing to wait and look around for one, you can do somewhat better on price. It's never going to be cheap.

Did my M 5 years ago. Cost a grand back then using 'used' parts.

I think you'd better jump on it if you want power steering. That's a fair price.

1 bid, $1200? You know the seller bought it. Wanna bet it will be relisted in a week or less?

OOOps. Just checked. It IS relisted / This time it has 8 bids on it, $300 tops so far.6 days to go.

I don"t want to high jack the thread, but as long as we are talking about adding powersteering, I have a question. I know that one has to change the camshaft gear to the heavier gear when putting on the pump. My tractor has the original Mag on it. I have only seen the live pump attached to a distributor. Does this mean the I need to replace the mag to hook up live hyd?

I don't think so. The distributor cap on the mag will be very close to the oil filter so it will be a tight fit. A vertical distributor is a better fit and more convenient.
