IH 480 disk

I am looking at buying a 480 international disk its a 18' disk. How much hp would I need to pull this? I have a International 986 with duals would this be to small?

You'll be fine. Used to pull a 18'IH 470 with a 966 and it just toyed with it. I have a 27' 490 now, pull it with a 1586.

Your 9 should be ok with it except if you have any moleboard plowed ground. Then it may be a little short on power. I use to pull a 18' 480 with a strong 806D & it did ok except on plowed ground. Traded the 8 for a 1066 & didn't have any problems.
