F-30 NW

very few. not production numbers exist

only one style of NW made since they only had one front axle for a 30. It was fixed style only, not an adjustable type like they had for the 20's


only other axle was a cane axle, but its serial suffix would be either CNW or HSCNW. different critter altogether
 
check the parts book; there are two styles of front axle for the NW. They are both fixed, but the early one is straight and the later one is arched in design. So I still would like to know approximately how many where made? Can anyone out there shed any light on this? I know a lot of the old timers are gone but maybe someone has been told something. I would like to here from you. thanks john.
 
i highly highly doubt you're ever going to find an answer to production numbers since records of such are long gone. if there ever was a specific number it would have been wide spread knowledge by now. only number now youll get will be simply speculation and nothing more


as far a splitting hairs on the axle, the straight one number 2781D is used on serial 4464 and down. the one with a very slight curve at the spindle was used on 4465 and up but NOT on the canes and its part number is 3130DX.

early canes used axle 3873D on serials 29006 and down. this axle could be outfitted with taller front spindles for what was known as a 'high wheel' cane.

late canes used axle 6665DX on tractors 29528 and up. these had the spindle hubs cast in and were one height only and were wider than earlier canes.

so which axle are you referring to?


if you do find the magical person with this answer ask them how many W-30 california special orchards were made, ive got one and am curious
 
It think they made 7 or so NW 30's half early style straight axle and half slightly curved straight axles.......... so 3.5 of each.

I am only refering to F-30's with the letters NW stamped behind the serial no. I am not talking about cane tractors. thanks for your input. john
