1944 Farmall H engine rpm's

My friend recently acquired a 1944 Farmall H. On the serial number plate, it lists the engine rpm for fast idle as 1815, and says do not overload. All the books we"ve seen list the high end of the rpm range as 1650 for this model. The serial number starts with the prefix FBH and ends with the suffix XC. The manifold has a lever-controlled butterfly for heat control, so we figure it"s the low-compression engine that can run on kerosene. Any information on the high rpm listing or what the serial number suffix indicates?

The rated rpm is 1650 which is what the governor should control the engine at under full load. The 1815 rpm is the no-load maximum speed.

As you said it is fast IDLE, meaning no load. 1650 is full load. The X and C need a number between them, i.e. X3C is kerosene, 8000 ft altitude, you might check the suffix again. Guy Fay's data book does not list a suffix with only XC.
