IH 2050 Loader...damage?

Went and personally looked at that 574 with loader this
morning. My main concern is with the loader...main beams are
arched some which looks normal but they both have a bow in
the bottom with a crack. Looks easy enough to stop and fix the
crack, but do I need to be worried about the bow and
weakening of the main beams?

That is some serious damage. Unfortunately, it was used by someone that didn't know the difference between a loader and a battering ram. To get some idea of how much it is bent, the top edge of that frame section did start out as a straight line. The whole area where the paint is flaked off has been bent. I would be concerned about related damage to the rest of the outfit. Is the front axle OK? other tractor housings? loader main frame attachment to the tractor?

If those other aspects check out OK, I'd consider doing some repair on the loader. I'd probably put some pull on the frame to try to stretch it back towards the original shape. While stretching, go after the bulged sides to get them flattened back out. I'd stop when the bulges are gone, even though it won't be fully straightened. Try to get it so both sides are the same length. Then weld on some fish plate to each side of both arms. The fish plate should cover the bent area and some beyond.

After doing that, the loader would probably be usable for a long time. You would just need to be a little extra gentle with it. You would probably need to do this repair yourself. If you can't do it yourself, it is unlikely to be worth it if you have to hire it done.

EDIT: I see Janicholson suggested cutting out some of the damaged material. That might work better than my suggestion of trying to push the bulges back in.

Holy cow. How did they bend the loader that much without breaking the tractor in half? That's some pretty substantial material there. That took a LOT of force.

Walk away. Just walk away. You do not want that tractor.

I would take a saws all and saw from the bottom to the top and bend it straight and fish plate both sides about 2 feet long and it will be stronger then new.
