Clutch Pressure

Any one know how much the oil pressure is on a 706 dump valve is or should be? Going to put a new switch on I thought it would be interesting to check! Asked local dealer all I got from him was it takes a special liquid filled gauge that goes to 1800#
Thanks

Your dealer service manage is a complete and total IDIOT and you do not NEED a liquid filled gauge to TEST it . and it is like this IF when you push the clutch down and the gauge goes to 0 that is all ya need to worry about . If the T/A is shifting and Does not slip then do not worry about it . Now if you do want to TEST pressure there then ya need the SPECIAL TOOL and and that is a Special valve that goes inplace of the valve inside and a gauge that will read 600 lbs. and you SHOULD have something like 195-235 psi. As far as LUBE pressure then ya want 18-22 psi . My advice to you is that since you really do not know alot about the MCV it is best to stay out of it as long as it is working and the tractor steers shifts and MOVES. Oh and the next time you see that service manage you can express my thinking of him for not even tiring to help you .And myself i would go find another dealer to buy parts from that would be more willing to help you.
Yea i did get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

Thank you Vet, you always make my day with your posts. Nothing is ever sugar coated, just the way I like it! You are one of a few that I wished I lived closer too so I could bask in your wisdom.
